Josh Lee
CEO & President
Josh has gained more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry through various technical and executive roles. Prior to Uniquify, Josh served as president & CEO of dPath, Inc. Before his work at dPath, Inc., Josh was senior director of engineering at both Adaptec, Inc. and Platys Communications. Josh has also held the manager of applications engineering position at Lightspeed Semiconductor, Inc., and served as senior applications engineer at Arcadia Design Systems, Inc. Josh received his BS in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley and his MS in Electrical Engineering from Cambridge University.
Sam Kim
Chief Operating Officer
Sam is a recognized expert in VLSI algorithm, CAD and physical design. He brings more than 15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry to Uniquify. Prior to Uniquify, Sam served as vice president at dPath, Inc. Before working at dPath, Inc., Sam held the positions of senior manager of ASIC design at Vitesse Semiconductor, and senior manager of physical design at Adeptec, Inc. Prior to his senior management roles, Sam was the manager of R&D for Monterey Design Systems. Sam received his BS in Computer Science from Northwestern University.
Robert “RAS” Sheffield
Chief Financial Officer
RAS has more than 30 years of executive-level finance experience with both public and private companies. He has served as CFO for nine Silicon Valley companies, including Time-Warner Interactive/Atari Games, Faroudja, Asante Technologies, and Televideo Systems. In November 2001, RAS led the successful IPO of Magma Design Automation. He most recently served as the CFO of ChipX, Inc. of Santa Clara. RAS received his BS from California State University at Northridge and his MBA from the University of Utah.
Peter Robinson
VP of World Wide Sales
With over 30 years of semiconductor industry experience having served in leadership roles with leading electronic design automation (EDA), intellectual property (IP) and semiconductor companies, Peter is a seasoned veteran. Peter started his sales career with LSI Logic, holding sales management, VP and General Management positions for over 8 years. In 2004 Peter helped take 0-in Design Automation, to a successful acquisition by Mentor Graphics. Peter has held senior management sales positions at Atrenta, Blue Pearl Software, Sibridge Technologies and eSilicon. Peter holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the College of Technology, in Farnborough UK.
Graham Bell
VP of Marketing
An experienced semiconductor design marketing strategist and avid blogger before joining Uniquify, Graham previously was VP of Marketing at Real Intent, a software company. Earlier he was Director of Sales and Marketing at IBSystems, home of the EDACafe.com web site, where he developed his video interviewing skills. In his career, he served in senior marketing roles at Extreme DA, at Nassda, which he brought to an IPO, and at Synopsys. He originally started his career developing analog and mixed-signal simulation for LSI switched-capacitor filters. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in computer hardware from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
Kevin Lau
VP of ASIC Operations
With over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Kevin has the full range of knowledge with logic design, synthesis, DFT, physical design, verification and manufacturing operations. Prior to joining Uniquify as one of the senior managing director, he held different managing positions at Vitesse Semiconductor and Adaptec Inc. Prior to his managing roles, Kevin contributed in different engineering positions at RapidStream Inc, Philips Semiconductors, Hitachi America and Siliconix Inc. He received his MS in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and BS in Electrical Engineering in National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan.
Dheeraj Lunawat
VP of ASIC Implementation
Dheeraj has over 12 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Dheeraj has been with Uniquify since its inception and is currently leading ASIC implementation. He has full range of knowledge in synthesis, DFT, physical design, verification and manufacturing operations. He received his MS in Computer Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.
Mahesh Gopalan
VP of DDR IP Division
Mahesh has over 17 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Ever since joining Uniquify close to its inception in 2005, he has played a leadership role in the architecture and development of Uniquify’s entire range of DDR IP solutions including memory controllers, phys and IOs targeting a wide range of industries and applications. He has extensive experience with the entire spectrum of IP development, integration, customer support and silicon bring-up activities at Uniquify from the earliest generation of SDRAMs to the current generation of mainstream DDR3/DDR4 SDRAMs and low power LPDDR3/LPDDR4 SDRAMs. Prior to Uniquify, Mahesh worked at Adaptec and Platys Communications in similar areas, and also gained experience in the development of network protocol processing engines and associated firmware. He has an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
JH Chen
VP of Process Technology
With 29 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, JH has acquired a diverse skill set and breadth of knowledge in device design, DRAM design, circuit verification, physical verification, foundry process, physical design, and manufacturing operations. Prior to becoming one of the senior managing directors at Uniquify, JH also held the position of Design Service Director at Global Foundries and Chartered Semiconductor. In addition to his managing roles, JH has experiences working in different engineering positions at Vanguard Semiconductor, Taiwan and Electronics Research & Service Organization, Taiwan. JH received his BS in Electrical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan and his MS in Electrical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan.
